Four Points Technology Partners with Modius, Inc.

Partnership 1

Offerings Helps Federal Data Centers comply with Executive Order 13693 for Improving Data Center Efficiencies

WASHINGTON, DC., July 12, 2016 – Four Points Technology, LLC, a leading Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) IT value-added reseller, and Modius, a leading software provider of real-time facilities monitoring solutions, today announced a strategic partnership to offer federal customers turn-key solutions for complying with Executive Order 13693 for Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) Monitoring and Reporting.  Executive Order 13693 requires all agencies to instrument and automatically measure their PUE and to achieve a PUE of 1.5 for existing data centers by September 30, 2018.

This partnership will enable Federal Data Centers to quickly and easily comply with the requirements for PUE monitoring and reporting.  For a minimal charge, Four Points and Modius experts are offering an on-site assessment of data center infrastructure to determine the appropriate instrumentation and calculations required to properly report PUE LC1 metrics per the Green Grid definition.  As part of this site assessment, Four Points and Modius will prepare a detailed report with design recommendations for PUE monitoring based on existing infrastructure, a gap analysis of missing components, and a step by step plan for implementation.

After the PUE Assessment is complete, Federal Data Centers can use the recommendations to implement the changes required to gather the appropriate data for PUE reporting, or elect to use our “PUE-in-a-Box” solution, an inexpensive, turnkey approach for reporting on PUE Metrics in compliance with the guidelines established by the Federal Energy Management Program (FEMP) and Department of Energy’s Better Buildings Program.

Four Points and Modius personnel have decades of experience designing equipment integration strategies for every make and model of power generation/distribution equipment.  This experience provides the following benefits:

•    Faster plan generation for an affordable price
•    Comprehensive, vendor agnostic recommendations
•    Least cost approach to achieving mandated PUE reporting
•    Turn-key, automated PUE Reporting solution

“This new partnership continues to demonstrate Four Points Technology’s dedication to their end users in providing them with the most cost-efficient solutions that provide the power, scale and flexibility required to manage today’s complex, multi-vendor federal IT environments”, said David Gilchrist, President and CEO of Four Points Technology.  “We are very pleased to be partnering with Modius to provide the most advanced solutions available to help federal customers jump-start their compliance requirements.”

“Failure to comply with requirements outlined in Executive Order 13693 for PUE monitoring and reporting is not an option and the clock is ticking,” said Craig Compiano, CEO of Modius, “Our partnership with Four Points Technology provides a great opportunity to offer Federal Data Center customers a cost-effective solution for understanding what needs to be done to comply with Executive Order 13693 for PUE monitoring and reporting
