Account Director – (Regional Sales Director; Director, Enterprise Sales)

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Account Director to lead strategic sales initiatives and drive new logo revenue growth within the Commercial/Enterprise sectors, such as Healthcare, Manufacturing, Higher Education, Financial Services, and other large Enterprises with significant IT infrastructure.

The candidate will be responsible for identifying and managing net-new opportunities to a close, both directly with end-user clients as well as with/through Partner relationships such as TSD/TSBs, Agents/Consultants, OEMs, MSPs, and other Ecosystem Partners in our exciting, “Channel-Integrated” sales environment.

This role requires a strong background in enterprise software sales, deep industry knowledge of the Data Center/Telecom space, and the ability to build long-term relationships while engaging current connections in these markets for ongoing success.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development:

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed revenue targets in coordination with assigned Solution Architect and broader support Teams.
  • Identify and engage new potential customers in our “right-to-win” space
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with C-level executives and key stakeholders.
  • Lead the full sales cycle, from prospecting and pitching to negotiation and closing high-value deals.
  • Experience with Partner/Channel sales, including current relationships within the TSD/TSB, Consultant/Agent, Reseller, OEM, MSP communities.

Client Engagement & Solutions Selling:

  • Conduct compelling product demonstrations and present customized solutions created to address client’s unique challenges and objectives.
  • Develop in-depth account strategies and “win plans”, positioning Modius’s DCIM solutions as the best fit for potential customers.
  • Address customer concerns and navigate complex decision-making processes.
  • Maintain accurate records of opportunities, activity, and up-to-date forecasts.

Strategic Collaboration & Market Awareness:

  • Work closely with internal teams, including pre-sales engineers, product development, and customer support, to ensure seamless implementation and client success.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor activities to enhance sales strategies.
  • Represent Modius at industry events, trade shows, and conferences.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in enterprise software sales, preferably within DCIM, Data Center operations, Telecom sectors, or related IT/Infra environments.
  • Strong understanding of data center infrastructure, IT operations, and telecommunications.
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets, managing complex sales cycles (3-6 mos., 9-12+ for larger opportunities), and closing high-value deals.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Willingness to travel as needed. (tradeshows, events, client meetings)
