Architecture

OpenData was built specifically to solve the problem of high volume, real-time data collection across globally dispersed sites.

The OpenData software collectors sit at the edge of the network—collecting, normalizing, and time-synchronizing data from all device types, facility infrastructure, and other applications. OpenData then transfers it to a centralized database for further analysis or distribution to other applications through API and Web Services integration points. The diagram below illustrates how the components of the OpenData platform are architected to provide a highly scalable solution for monitoring and managing critical infrastructure.
